What an amazing outcome of volunteers signing up at the DWP, Arsenal Recruitment & Skills Event 2025 held on Friday 17th October.
Grateful for the invite from Nitesh Deb at DWP who put the well organised event together with a huge team behind it from both DWP and Arsenal. It was great to see the wide variety of exhibitors and meet new and existing partner organisations.
The experience as an exhibitor was seamless from stadium staff to DWP staff hosts signposting us all the way. The lunch was a lovely touch and most of all meeting all the attendees who were keen to express their interest.
With 80 individuals signing up to sustainable volunteering it was a roaring success. With council staff and DWP advisors excited about the opportunity with booking of Looprun In Store and Come and See events within their own boroughs and councils. This is what collaboration and community impact is all about doing good for good.
A thank you to David a shop owner of Edwards in Deptford for donating some of the giveaway sweets. Alongside, Sainsbury's Dulwich and Newcross for the non perishable, new clothing and gift donations. These were used for a mini display of our Come and See events that take place in leisure centres, community halls and schools across the UK.
A special thank you to Gareth at Rapid Print Pro for sponsorship of our banner with a next day turnout in time for the event. A sister company to South Side Prints SE1 referred by Matt. Again another example of what doing good for good can achieve collectively.
