Come and See pop up had to be part of the London Christmas Jobs Fair held in the Kensington Town Hall by Fiona Low.
And what a momentous day it was. With a wonderful surprise realising that people had come wide and far from different boroughs.
The great news is the presence of volunteering opportunities to showcase the value and wide benefits of volunteering has. Including making real time impact in the community. In the case of our sustainable volunteering it also means helping to sustain oneself at the same time as helping other community members.
Sustainable volunteering has an opportunity for everyone. From picking up local food donations, to onsite event management experience. Catering to the need of the individual whatever their physical, mental and learning abilities.
The event was super busy with back to back interest from keen attendees. Our unique display set up and vibrant stand certainly drew crowds including key networking and partnership opportunities.
It was great to interact and answer questions there and then and even go deeper into the impact of sustainable volunteering. Sharing perspectives and learning something new can only lead to getting to the real need of a person and the community as a whole.
A continued thank you to Sainsbury's Dulwich, Elephant & Castle and New Cross Gate for the non perishable, snacks, confectionary, new clothing and gift donations used for display and giveaway too.
The word certainly got out about the flexible and localised sustainable volunteering opportunity that includes a reference with skills for life.
