Thanks to Ronald from DWP Hendon for inviting the Come and See pop up to the Hendon 18-24 years in Graeme Park.
It was wonderful to see volunteering opportunities to be included once again to showcase the value and wide benefits of volunteering has. Including making real time impact in the community include instant impact for themselves should they need donated resources.
With Rolande, a SCIV (Sustainable Community Impact Volunteer) who recently joined be part of the pop up stand to add to her event and customer service experience.
Sustainable volunteering has an opportunity for everyone. From picking up local food donations, to onsite event management experience. Catering to the need of the individual whatever their physical, mental and learning abilities.
Our bright and vibrant stand certainly captured the interest from attendees who were keen to know more.
It was great to interact and answer questions there and then and even go deeper into the impact of sustainable volunteering.
A continued thank you to Sainsbury's Dulwich, Elephant & Castle and New Cross Gate for the non perishable, snacks, confectionary, new clothing and gift donations used for display and giveaway too.
The word certainly got out about the flexible and localised sustainable volunteering opportunity that includes a reference with skills for life.
